Cycling or hiking through The hilly landscape in Limburg is amazing! While cycling or hiking in and around Valkenburg aan de Geul you will discover a lot of natural beauty, historical heritage and the beautiful Geul and Gulp valley. Various cycling routes have been mapped out: for example by cycling along Valkenburg, Gulpen and Schin op Geul, where you can visit caves, coal mines, monasteries and the beautiful castles in the area. We would like to invite you to view the surroundings and sights!

Centrally located in the Heuvelland, Hotel Schaepkens in Valkenburg is the perfect starting point, stopover or end point of your cycling or hiking tour. Don't forget to relax afterwards in the sun in our beautiful garden. Pure enjoyment!

Our hotel is known for its cycling and hiking-friendly facilities, including very diverse packages that can be booked with us. Electric bicycles can be charged for free in our bicycle shed and if you want to wash your bicycles after your bike ride, you can do so in our washing station.
